I have been a private lesson student at the Blue Ball Room for two and a half years, and have been consistently impressed with every aspect of the experience – the professionalism, talent, caring and kindness of the staff, the beauty and cleanliness of the space, the world-class talent and skill of my instructor and the high-quality planning and execution of every event, particularly the Showcases and Medal Testing.

When the studio had to shut down because of COVID-19, I took advantage of the option to continue my lessons via Zoom.  While I missed being in the ballroom and interacting directly with Johny, I was pleasantly surprised by how much my technique was enhanced by having to learn and execute the steps on my own. I’m happy to say that I continued to progress during that time.  When the studio opened I was eager to return, and I’ve been impressed, once again, by the professionalism and caring of the staff. Every precaution is being taken to ensure our safety and I feel perfectly comfortable there.  We of course wear masks throughout the lesson and maintain social distancing through the use of sticks or pool noodles. I continue to progress in my learning and plan to Medal Test in September. It’s so fun to be back in that beautiful space, interacting with Johny and giving both my mind and my body healthy, much-needed stimulation. The benefits of dancing, as you all know, are enormous.

During this extraordinary time for individuals and businesses alike, I am delighted to have the opportunity to continue supporting our beloved Blue Ball Room through the continuation of my lessons.  Talk about a win-win! They really are doing everything they can to make the experience safe, beneficial and fun.  And lessons through Zoom are still an option for anyone who isn’t comfortable coming into the studio. I hope to see you there soon!
